Disney's Magical Express

How many hours in advance can I check my luggage at the resort airline check in counter. I’ve seen no less than 3 hours before but nothing about how early. I’d like to leave for the parks at 8am but my flight doesn’t leave until 9:50pm.

Hi, Jason! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I absolutely love the way you think! I believe there is no such thing as too much pixie dust, so flying out as late as possible and heading to our favorite theme park is my favorite departure day plan.

You are welcome to check your bags at the Resort Airline Check-In desk at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel before heading off in search of more magical memories. This desk is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., so you will definitely want to check your luggage before you leave the resort that morning. I made the mistake one time of having Bell Services hold our luggage so that we could take a quick swim in the pool later and change for the flight home. I totally forgot about the noon cut off, so I ended up having to check our bags at the airport. That lesson made me absolutely appreciate this wonderful benefit of being a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest!

Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to head back to your resort to meet your Disney's Magical Express motorcoach for the ride to Orlando International Airport. You will receive a notification on your door handle the day prior to departure that will inform you of your motorcoach pick up time. These are usually around three hours in advance of your flight departure.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
