Which Hotel Should I choose? Grand Floridian or the Wilderness Lodge, This will be my families first time as a family, myself, wife and 3 year old son.

    What a great question, Walter!

You've chosen two spectacular Walt Disney World resorts, so you surely can't go wrong, but for very different reasons.

Guests return faithfully to both of these resorts simply because they've fallen in love with unique features of each. Both resorts are very convenient to Magic Kingdom and both have fabulous pools with slides, Movies Under the Stars, fun arcades and excellent dining right on property. You can't go wrong either way.

If you think that you'll spend any days just relaxing at the resort, with no park time for a day or two, then check out the recreation that's offered at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Campfires and roasted marshmallows at night, a beach playground, activities at Cub's Den for your preschooler, the fun of Fire Rock Geyser (which shoots 120 feet into the air) are just a few of the special features that make Guests feel right at home in this rustic resort. Magic Kingdom is just a bus or ferry ride away, too (and that's where you'll probably spend most of your time, with a 3-year-old prince.)

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is an elegant VIctorian-themed property which is often considered to be WDW's flagship Deluxe Resort. She's simply beautiful, and features the bonus of having the newly-reopened Senses Spa right on property. In addition, access to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot are just a monorail ride away, a huge bonus when you have a little one who has dozed off in a stroller after a fun-filled day in the parks (you can let him sleep in the stroller, wheel him onto and off of the monorail, then right up into your room. THAT is worth its weight in pixie dust, Walter!)

Again, you've got yourself a win-win here, Walter, so decide which atmosphere or setting seems best to you and book that trip.

Be sure to send all of your questions our way, too. We love to help Guests plan magical vacations to Walt Disney World!
