We are hoping to visit WDW this summer with DDs, 4 and 6 yrs. Trying to decide between visiting in June or Aug. I believe Aug is off-peak but am worried about the heat. Is it really less crowded and worth the heat & can we cool off during the day? T

    Hi Leigh,

When to visit Walt Disney World is always one of the hardest decisions because there are so many factors to consider!

The crowds in early June will be comparable to those in late August, the major difference will be the humidity.  I do not enjoy not enjoy extreme heat, and I have found that late August is almost intolerable for me.  Choosing a resort with a great swimming pool would be key to making an August vacation a pleasant one.

If given the choice, I would opt to visit in early June before the summer crowds and humidity really kicks in.

    Hope this helps!
