Hi Nicola,
I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be returning to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for another Disney adventure, and that you're bringing some extended family along with you this time! You all will make so many magical memories together that you'll enjoy remembering for years to to come!
I, too, have a Mouseketeer who uses the
Disability Access Service and I personally know what a blessing it is for families traveling with Guests with special needs! It is generally allowed for parties up to six, but I can tell you from my personal experience that we've never had an issue with my immediate family of seven being able to use the service together. We have not able to add extended family members to it, however. It's definitely worth bringing your entire family with you to Guest Relations to ask about accommodations, though, just to see, as family sizes over six will be up to the Cast Member discretion. Disability Access Service cannot be arranged in advance, so you'll simply want to visit Guest Relations inside a theme park once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort. Don't forget that you're able to use the Disability Access Service and the
FastPass+ service at the same time, so even if your extended family isn't able to join you for the attractions where you utilize the Disability Access Service, you'll still be able to enjoy attractions together with the FastPass+ service. Just make sure that you're all linked together via the
Family & Friends list so that you can make plans together!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicola, and please feel free to bring us any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your entire family have a truly magical vacation together!
Missy
