Hello! Hope I'm not wrong for asking but are my 13 and 9 year old children allowed to stay on the boat while the wife and I take advantage of an excursion off the boat? Has anyone ever done this and is this a service provided by the children counselors?

    Welcome aboard, Mark!

Having the option of keeping your kids onboard while you and your wife enjoy a day at port is a great plus, when sailing with Disney Cruise Line. It is absolutely OK to do this, and sometimes, the kids enjoy it even more. When the ship is docked at a port, the Youth Clubs will be open and activities will be abundant to keep kids engaged throughout the day.

When my husband and I spent a day in Rome, we chose to leave our 2 kids on the ship for the day. It was blistering hot that day, and we were glad that we did. We were melting in the shade, and our kids would have had a meltdown due to the weather. Instead, they were onboard, enjoying supervised activities (and even a talent show). They were fed too, since we had to leave very early that day for our port adventure. They enjoyed having breakfast, snack and lunch with their friends and the very able Youth Counselors. They also had a lot of stories to share with us when we were back onboard.

So, go ahead and enjoy some adult bonding time, Mark. Enjoy your voyage and have a spectacular time with your family.

    Have a magical day!
