Hollywood studios vs Epcot. I'm traveling with an 8, 6 and 4 year old, alone to DW in May. We arrive half day on the 9th. Should I spend that short day in Hollywood or Epcot? The oldest gets bored quickly so I want to plan the best park on a longer day. ty

    Hi Laura!

I'd recommend that you head straight to Epcot for your shorter, arrival day.
You'll want a full day and evening to enjoy Disney's Hollywood Studios' attractions, afternoon parade, shows and Fantasmic!

Upon arrival at Epcot, be sure to visit The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion, The Land Pavilion, Imagination! Pavilion and Innoventions before heading out into World Showcase. Along the way, be sure to report for duty and pick up a 'cell phone' and mission to assist Agent P as a secret agent in an interactive quest around World Showcase. These missions last anywhere from 30-45 minutes and are designed with groups in mind. It's great fun for the whole family.

As you journey around World Showcase, be sure to check in at each country's Kidcot station where your youngest ones will enjoy creating their own souvenirs.

If you'd like to enjoy a casual, family dinner on your arrival night, consider reserving Via Napoli through Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) prior to your arrival. It's a great family atmosphere and their pizzas are the best I've ever had!

After dinner, be sure to catch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from around World Showcase. The show takes place out over the water. It's a fantastic way to cap off your first day of family vacation. On May 9th, IllumiNations takes place at 9:00pm.

I hope this helps you with your planning Laura. If you have additional questions about your visit, please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again.

Wishing your family a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
