Hi, We are going to Walt Disney(5 of us)and we are visiting Magic Kingdom on my youngest son's 6 th birthday, I want to make it special. We are not staying in an hotel on site therefore I don't know were to get the information.

    Bonjour Melissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do is pick up a Birthday Button for your son at Guest Relations the moment you enter the Park. You’ll be amazed at how many Cast Members (and Guests!) will wish your son “Happy Birthday” throughout the day!

The next thing that I would do would be to ask him what kinds of attractions he’d like to experience and book your FastPass+ selections 30 days before your visit according to his wishes. He might really love being able to plan his perfect day at Magic Kingdom Park.

If your son is a swarthy seadog-in-training, he might enjoy getting transformed into a pirate at The Pirates League. Although my son is still too young to experience it, every time I’ve seen a junior swashbuckler walking around the Parks, it has always made him (and me!) smile!

Finally, I strongly suggest making a dining reservation at one of Magic Kingdom Park’s table service restaurants for your son’s birthday meal. My two recommendations would be for Be Our Guest Restaurant (reservations can be EXTREMELY difficult to get) or The Crystal Palace. Once you've made your reservation, you can even order a birthday cake and have it delivered to you at the end of your meal. To order any custom bakery cake, please call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 827-2253 at least 72 hours before your reservation.

Have fun planning your son’s Magical Day!
