    George from Fife Asked

Hi We are travelling from the UK in Sept for 3 wks. Wk1 at AoA then off site for weeks 2 &3. We will have magic bands however can we still use these for weeks 2&3 with amendments to the criteria or will we have to revert to ticket only? Thanks

    Hi George,

Once you have your MagicBands, you should be able to keep them active, even if you're not staying at a Disney hotel. Off-site guests can now purchase MagicBands without ever having been a hotel guest.

When you've moved off-property you obviously won't be able to open you room with Band. You also won't be able to charge purchases to the Band when you're staying off-site.

You will be continue to be able to link your park admission tickets to the MagicBands, using them for park entry. You'll also be able to use your Bands to claim your FastPass+ selections. In both cases, you'll just continue to tap the Band at the appropriate touch point.

To double-check that your MagicBand is still active, stop by any guest relations office. You can also manage things on your own by logging into your My Disney Experience account at DisneyWorld.com or by using the My Disney Experience app or your tablet or smartphone. In the "My Account" section, click on "MagicBands and Cards."

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
