Hi- We are thinking of visiting Disney in June of 2014- earlier in the month, around the 8th. Is that a crowded time? Is the weather too hot for three young kids? Also, when could we book our room? Any info is welcome. Thanks!

Wow, Kathy, you are my kind of planner!  I am always thinking about a year or so ahead when planning our vacations!

Early June is a good time, in my opinion.  Often, schools on the east coast don't get out for summer break until mid to late June, so going in the first week or so of June would get a head start on the summer crowds.  I will let you know that June is generally the wettest month in Florida, so there is that to consider. As a general rule of thumb, highs are typically in the 90s and lows are in the 70s. However, I have found that even with the rain in Florida, my three kids don't let it "dampen" their fun!

You can book a rooms only reservation 499 days out, but I usually wait to book my trips about 6-9 months out because I like to book packages with rooms, park tickets, and dining plans.  You will also be able to make your dining reservations 180 days in advance.  You will want to keep this in mind especially when booking popular character meals or Cinderella's Castle.

I know it seems like a long time before that date rolls around, but please feel free to stop back by and ask me more questions as they arise!

    Happy Planning
