Hi, We are planning on coming down after Labor Day (2011) and was wondering when after Labor Day the crowds usually drop off? Also, what days would be the best for each particular park during that time? Thanks so much!

    Hi Ashley!

Its great to hear from a fellow South Carolinian!

I've found that Labor Day crowds drop off fairly quickly after the long weekend for the holiday. September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World as the crowds are typically much lower than the summer peak and the Florida weather has cooled off slightly. Typically, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has started by mid-September and this means that the Magic Kingdom will be sporting some pretty great Halloween decorations!

As for a plan of attack for parks, I am a huge fan of staring off the trip at the Magic Kingdom. My Disney vacation officially begins when we visit the Magic Kingdom. After that, you'll want to plan you park visit days to coincide with Extra Magic Hours. My best advice is if you're planning on using this perk, then plan on being up early and visiting the park with Extra Morning Hours. If that doesn't work for you, then pick a park that doesn't have these extra hours so you avoid some of the crowds.

Hope this helps! Be sure to let us moms know if we can help you plan any more details of your trip!
