Hi,we are going to DW in April but staying off property. That entire week Magic Kingdom has early EMH. Since the Welcome Show is now held at the Castle before the park opens, how can we get to see it? Would we be able to go to Main Street at least to watch?

Hello Ian!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Thanks for asking me a question, directly.  I can tell from your inquiry that my previous comments about the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show have focused more on those partaking in Morning Extra Magic Hours and Advanced Dining Reservations at Dining locations than for everyone else.

The Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show begins around 5 minutes before official Magic Kingdom park opening in front of Cinderella Castle.  This is the case even during the Morning Extra Magic Hours for Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests.  To make sure that as many can enjoy the kickoff festivities as possible, the main ticket gates are opened at least 25-30 minutes (some days even earlier) to Main Street, U.S.A.

If Extra Magic Hours are available to Resort Guests from 8 am to 9 am, the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show will still begin around 8:55 am.

During that time, Guests can enjoy a tasty treat and essential (at least, for me) coffee from Main Street Bakery, do some early shopping at various stores or make their way to Cinderella Castle for a prime location for the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show.

Guests staying off property are more than welcome to enjoy all that Main Street, U.S.A. has to offer (that is open early) but will not be granted admittance to the Magic Kingdom Attractions available to Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests as part of Extra Magic Hours.

    Have a Magical Morning!
