Hi, We are going to Disney World in 23 more sleeps!!! My daughter (19) is sewing a summer version of a Jessie Costume which she would like to wear to the Magic Kingdom - are there any restrictions on her wearing a costume this time of the year? Thanks

    Hi Jane!!!

Thank you so much for your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!!  Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation!!!

Unfortunately, the costume you are describing would be not be permissible for the theme parks during the time you are visiting.  According to the Theme Parks Frequently Asked Questions website, it states that "Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character" are prohibited.  The one time of the year that adults are allowed to wear costumes or dress up as characters is during the selected evenings for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I am sorry that I had to be the bearer of bad news, but I am very glad you asked this question before you left for vacation and she took the costume with her!

Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help answer!!!

    Have a magical trip!!
