Hi Polly,
I have three tween and teen daughters and have been through that "too cool for Disney" stage with them. But no worries, there is plenty to do at Walt Disney World to keep the fun going for older kids.
Now might be the time to transition your activities from a little kid focus to a big kid focus. Maybe bypass the character greeting lines and the Pooh ride this trip and instead concentrate on shows and roller coasters. Here are some other non-park Disney experiences that my older girls LOVE:
- Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney
- DisneyQuest
- the water parks
- spa treatments
- shopping at Downtown Disney
- dining at the signature restaurants (we had a fabulous experience at Victoria & Alberts when my youngest turned 10)
- parasailing or water skiing at the Contemporary
- renting bikes at Fort Wilderness
- touring the holiday decorations at the resorts
- going on a "candy around the world" quest at Epcot
- taking the "Behind the Seeds" tour at Epcot
- and much more

Moms Panel answers about off the beaten path activities. Also the independent website DisneyFoodBlog.com has an article called "10 Tips for Dining with Teens at Walt Disney World," and Blog.TouringPlans.com offers "Teens at Disney World: Not the Impossible Dream." Those should give you some good ideas to keep your daughter in the spirit. We're happy to provide more information about any of them, just let us know what you need.
