Hi We have booked our first Disney Cruise for 4 nights 12/14/15 and plan to visit Disney World prior from 12/11 thru 12/14. Trying to figure out how to get from the airport to DW and then from DW to Port Canaveral and then from port to Orlando airport.

    Hi Pat -

Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise vacation and pairing it up with a great Disney World land vacation! December is such a magical time of year - you and your family will love seeing the Disney Resort and Theme Parks all decked out for the Holiday Season. As the magic continues for you, seeing the Disney cruise ship glammed up for the holidays is quite spectacular.

Disney comes prepared to help you out on your Ground Transfers. They've put together the most convenient way to get your family from the various points during your land and sea vacation. If you are booked at a Disney Resort, you can take advantage of the complimentary motor coach service, Disney's Magical Express, to take you from the MCO Airport to your Disney Resort. To take you from your Disney Resort to Port Canaveral -- and then from Port Canaveral to the MCO airport, you can reserve Disney Cruise Line ground transportation for an additional fee of $70 per person round trip ($35 each way per person). it takes about an hour to get from your Disney Resort to the Port depending on traffic. Your transfer also includes baggage handling - really convenient, since your luggage is picked up on embarkation morning (usually around 8am) from your Disney Resort hotel room, and it gets whisked to your onboard stateroom that same afternoon. Just remember to bring a day bag with you. You'll then board the comfortable motor coach in the late morning, right at your hotel lobby, and it takes you straight to the port. On disembarkation morning, you board the motor coach that takes you to the MCO Airport. To add Disney Cruise Line ground transfers to your cruise reservation, just call the DCL Travel Desk at 1800-951-3532.

You can also check out for private shuttles locally to transport you to the port, especially if you are traveling as a big group. I've always found DCL as the most convenient way to get my family of 4 to where we need to go. I hope this helps, Pat! Happy planning. ~ Dolly
