Hi, We are arriving for our first trip to Disney World the first week of December. However, money is tight and I am not sure how many days of tickets we can afford. What parks are the best for an 7 year old boy and a 9 year old girl to see?

    Hi Jacki,

When picking Walt Disney World theme parks for your 7 year old prince and 9 year old princess, remember that each and every park has something to offer. It really is difficult to pick 1 or 2 parks to recommend, which is why I'm recommending that you let your wonderful kiddos experience them all! As a frugal mom, I can relate to the tight budget you are dealing with and I have a great idea for you. Why not schedule half days for a few parks?

I recommend spending a whole day in Magic Kingdom Park. There are attractions, shows, and experiences galore. A full day in this magical park will not go to waste. Due to its size, Epcot would also be a great park to schedule a full day. While there are only a few attractions that your kids will enjoy, like Test Track and Soarin', they'll enjoy immersing themselves in each country within World Showcase.

Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom are perfect for half day excursions. Start the day off at Hollywood Studios with a FastPass+ selection for Toy Story Mania. If your kiddos are fans of fast-paced attractions, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror should also be on your must-do list. My 9 year old son loves Animation Academy and the opportunity to learn how to sketch his favorite Disney characters. In Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safaris should be part of your adventure. The kids will also love DinoLand U.S.A and Festival of the Lion King. That's all 4 parks in just 3 days!

I hope this answers helps you, Jacki. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
