Hi, Our family of 4 has been to WDW several times & we stay on property. Usually, we ride the buses to the parks, but they can be very crowded & wait times vary. As we'd have a vehicle, (always drive to WDW) would it save time to drive to parks e

Thanks for stopping by and asking this great question, and one that I am sure is often debated among travelers to the Walt Disney World Resort.  While my family always flies there on vacation, I do understand the dilemma that you are asking about.  It can be frustrating to have just missed the bus you wanted only to have to wait 20 minutes for another one and wishing you could just drive yourself on your timetable to the park of your choice.

The good news is that parking at all four parks is complimentary for resort guests with a valid "Key to the World" card or parking permit from your resort.  Keep in mind that just before park opening and park closing, you could run into a different kind of crowd, the crowds of people waiting for the trams to and from the park entrances to the various stations around the parking lot!

Another great tip is to take a picture with your phone of the signs in the parking lots that cleverly name the area you are parked in.  You would hate to come back after a long day in the parks only to forget where you parked and wander aimlessly around looking for your car!

Whether you drive yourself to the parks or ride the complimentary transportation provided for resort guests, have a fabulous time and "start your engines" for the fun you will have!
