Hi! My family and I are planning to go to Disneyland in the next couple of months. My husband has Stage 4 Cancer and is disabled. Looking to go on a day that is the least crowded. Wanting to make this an experience our children will remember with him. Help

    Hi Victoria!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm sorry to hear what your family is going through during this difficult time, but I can't think of a better place than the Disneyland Resort to make magical memories.

As far as when to visit within the next couple of months, I would suggest weekdays before the popular Spring Break and Easter season. Crowd levels tend to be lower during this time, and you may even get to experience some of my favorite unique events such as the Lunar New Year Celebration or the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

One of the reasons Disneyland Resort is so special to my family is that everyone who enters this happy place is welcomed and accommodated. Guests with disabilities are no exception, and Cast Members at the Disneyland Resort are committed to providing a magical experience for all. Upon arrival to either Disneyland Resort theme park, head to Guest Relations to discuss your husband's specific needs. You may be able to utilize the Disability Access Service (DAS) which will give you more free time to enjoy attractions, Character meetings, and delicious food instead of waiting in conventional lines.

I'd also suggest purchasing Disney MaxPass to maximize your time in the parks. This allows you to make digital FASTPASS selections independent of DAS. It also includes unlimited PhotoPass downloads which are priceless when it comes to cherishing the memories of your vacation.

Please return with any additional questions, and I hope you and your family have an unforgettable trip.
