Hi, I've never left my daughter with a baby sitter before and using the in room baby sitter will be the first time. Is it ok to have a baby cam set up so I can see her when I feel anxious if I let the sitter know or is that crazy? Thank

    Hi Lucie!

You have come to the right place with your babysitting question!  I used Kids Nite Out, the in-room babysitting service recommended by Walt Disney World, a few times when my kids were little and they were wonderful!  Your sitter will come fully prepared with games, books and activities to keep your daughter happy and busy while you're away.  If you give them permission, they can take your daughter for a walk around the resort, a stroll in a stroller or stay in the room to play.

I completely understand wanting to settle any nerves you have, especially since this will be your first time leaving her with a sitter.  I spoke with a Kids Nite Out representative and they assured me that you are more than welcome to set up a baby cam in the room to check in your daughter whenever you'd like, but they would like for you to let the sitter know.  She also told me that this is a common question, so you're in good company of protective moms!  I know this will help you feel more comfortable during your child-free Disney time.

Stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you would like recommendations on some fun and/or romantic things to do during your parents night out!

    Have a magical day!
