Bus at Bus Stop location at resort

    Olivia from Victoria Asked

Hi! I’m travelling to WDW in September. I have PTSD and I’m hypersensitive to crowds. I’m anxious about transport to PO Riverside from the parks. I can’t get on the bus if it’s too crowded. Is there a last bus? Will I be left behind if I can’t get on?

Hello Olivia! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I totally understand feeling overwhelmed in a crowd. Walt Disney World is all about making each and every Guest feel comfortable and to make sure they are having a great vacation. The buses eventually do stop running to and from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks each night. While I am sure they would not leave you behind, I'm not sure what the protocol would be for coming back for one Guest. Instead of waiting all that time what I would do is use the Minnie Van Service to get to and from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. This will be a private transportation service just for you and whoever you'd like to share it with so there is no need to worry about how many people are on a bus. I think this sounds like a perfect solution for you. The Minnie Van Service is used via the Lyft Mobile App, so be sure to have that downloaded on your smartphone before your trip. When you are ready to go somewhere, simply open the app and select the Minnie Van. If the Minnie Van isn't the default vehicle displayed, you'll just swipe through the option until you come to it. You'll be able to see which Minnie Van is picking you up, travel times to where you want to go and pay all conveniently within the app. Minnie Vans start running at 6:30 a.m. daily and end at 12:30 a.m. each night. You can even hire a Minnie Van to take you to and from the airport if you'd like. If you are interested in doing that, just make sure you call at least 3 hours prior to your flight departure to request a pickup.

I hope this helps ease your mind, Oliva. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach back out. Enjoy your vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
