Hi, I’m looking at booking Tiana’s Ice Cream Social for a future trip and am wondering if I can use a Disney gift card to pay for the tickets. Thanks!

Hi Kelly! Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Yes, you can absolutely use a Disney Gift Card to pay for Tiana's Riverboat Party & Ice Cream Social. To ensure this charge hits a gift card and not your credit or debit card on file, I would recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort Dining phone line, which is (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

Note that some special dining and dessert events, like dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review, require payment at the time of booking and your card, whether a credit, debit, or gift card, is charged the moment you confirm your reservation. Other experiences, like most advanced dining reservations and some select special experiences, like a first haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street U.S.A. only require a credit card to hold your reservation, and then you can switch the method of payment when you go to pay your tab. Also know that you can charge anything and everything from theme park admission tickets to a shopping spree at Disney Springs to all the snacks you see in Epcot's World Showcase to your card on file with your MagicBand, but then pay that balance off every with gift cards. To do so just stop by the front desk of your Resort Hotel every few days.

I also want to make sure that you knew that currently the Liberty Square Riverboat is undergoing a refurbishment, and for the time being there are no scheduled dates for Tiana's Ice Cream Social. Please keep checking back or browse your other yummy dessert party options.

I hope this helped with your planning, Kelly, and please come back should you have any more questions. We'll see you real soon!
