Hi!!!I and my 6-year-old son are visiting WDW this March. We are from Japan and I really want to ride Tower of terror. But my son is saying that he doesn’t want to ride it.If one adult and one child,is there any way I can ride Tower of Terror by myself??

    Konnichiwa, Naoko!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question! It is a pleasure to help a fellow international traveler visiting all the way from Japan.

I am also planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with my child. I cannot wait to make beautiful memories with my princess during our mother and daughter trip, but I understand that traveling alone with her means that I have to plan for the moments she will not want to experience a certain attraction. Although I love The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, my daughter is absolutely scared of riding it.

There is no childcare available to watch over kids who do not want to accompany their parents, so I recommend planning your day at the parks around experiences that you can enjoy together. Remember to consider common interests and height restrictions, and you will have a magical time bonding with your son at the place where dreams come true.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great destination for little ones. I am sure he will enjoy Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Did you know that he can train to become a Jedi on Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple? This is a must-do activity for my daughter. I also recommend making reservations at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, her favorite destination for milkshakes and burgers at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Moms Panel tip: if you decide that you need childcare for your son during your visit, I suggest hiring the private services of Kid’s Nite Out. One of their caregivers can accompany you to the theme parks to assist you with your son while you enjoy attractions he may not want to experience. Please note that this service is not provided by Disney, this is an independent company. Many of my friends have already used their services and always recommend them.

I hope this helps you while planning, Naoko! Please, come back to visit us real soon as you plan your visit with your son.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
