Hi, I am planning a surprise honeymoon for my fiancé. What is the best way to budget for this trip between now and November? Also what romantic ideas/ and events could we do while we are here? Is there a specific resort we should stay at?

Hi, Jerrica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing us this great question!

Having honeymooned at Walt Disney World Resort myself, I can definitely offer you some tips! To answer the first part of your question in regards to budget, I would suggest making a Magic Your Way Vacation Package reservation, which includes your Disney Resort hotel, Theme Park Tickets and even Disney Dining Plan if you so choose, as soon as possible with a small deposit. Once the deposit is made, you can make weekly, monthly, or even daily payments towards your magical vacation as long as the balance is paid 30 days before your arrival.

As for romance, I suggest planning a nice dinner for your and your new spouse! We dined at California Grill and were lucky enough to get a window seat and watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from our table! I have also heard great things about Victoria and Albert’s! Disney Floral and Gifts is another option for your honeymoon. They have many romantic in-room celebrations available!

Disney Resort hotels range from Value to Deluxe. For a honeymoon, I would suggest a Moderate or Deluxe Disney Resort hotel. I find Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter to be a lovely picturesque Moderate Resort hotel. However, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort are my top Deluxe Resort hotel honeymoon picks!

I hope this helps you with your planning! Come back and see us again soon!
