    Laura Asked

Hi, I am looking to come to Orlando in October and I am looking to possibly stay at Port Orleans Riverside. Can anyone recommend the best room to stay in? As there isn't much difference in the prices. Your advice would be appreciated.

    Hi there Laura,

October is such a great time of the year to visit Walt Disney World! There are so many activities going on at that time of the year that you may not be in your room quite so much. To me, Port Orleans Resort is one of the most beautiful and best themed of the Moderate resorts. It's also one of the largest of the Walt Disney World resorts and room locations vary wildly between categories and preferences.

There are two sections to Port Orleans Riverside, Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. Alligator Bayou is a little more laid back and has an older more rustic feel while Magnolia Bend has a "Gone with the Wind" elegance to it. When making your reservation, it's best to indicate your preference on which section you would like to stay in.

There are categories based on the types of rooms and view preferences. So in my opinion, I would suggest if you want a King size bed to ask for that first and then go with a "River" view. That would give you a great option and a wonderful room.
