Hi, I will be coming to WDW in April with my MOM (who is legally blind) My question is.... the rides that have the moving floor ex. ( haunted mansion ) can they stop the floor from moving so my mom can get on the ride? Thank you in advance!

    Hi Victoria!

I have vacationed in Walt Disney World a few times with an extended family member who is blind and I can tell you that they will slow down or even stop the moving loading floors for a guest with a disability so that they can safely enter a ride or attraction.  All you have to do is alert a Cast Member that is near the loading point of the ride (typically the Cast Member that is asking, "How many people are in your party?" as you are about to get on the ride) that your Mom is legally blind.  When the ride ends the Cast Member will slow or stop the belt again so that your Mom can disembark the ride (the Cast members will know which car that you are in and do this automatically without you having to tell them again).  It has been my experience that Disney is very accommodating to guest with disabilities!

I hope that your April Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
