Is the high price tickets of Mickey's not so scary Halloween party worth it? My son is four and goes to bed before 8 usually. I could try to keep him up until 9.. would it be worth the money to only stay 2 hours at the party? Thank you!!!!!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shay! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party held in Magic Kingdom Park is far and away my family's favorite special event at Walt Disney World Resort! The Party does require a separate admission ticket to attend, but I would absolutely recommend not missing this incredible special event. My daughter first attended the Party at age 4 and she had a wonderful time. We stayed until about 10:30, although she fell fast asleep in her stroller just after the 9:30 fireworks ended.

Here are some tips for getting the most out of your Party experience: On the day you'll be attending the Party, take the morning off from the theme parks to enjoy your resort pool (and/or other amenities), followed by a leisurely lunch and then a nice, long nap for your son (or at least some quality down time without a lot of stimuli). You'll want to make sure your little guy is well rested so he can stay up a bit past his regular bedtime later that evening. If you haven't brought your own stroller from home, definitely rent one for the Party.

With your Party tickets, you will typically be permitted to enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 (even though the Party doesn't officially start until 7:00). Take advantage of this extra time in the park and have dinner before the Party starts. By 6:30/6:45 get in line to see ALL Seven Dwarfs at Splash Mountain and then hit the nearby trick-or-treat trail. Around 7:45 secure a spot to watch the first Boo-to-You! parade at 8:15. I recommend watching the parade from Liberty Square or Frontierland. After the parade, visit some of your son's (and your own) favorite Disney characters. Finally, be sure to catch the amazing Happy HalloWishes fireworks show at 9:30. Wishing you a hauntingly good time!
