Hi, Doing a family trip to Disney World on August 29 for 5 days with our two girls age 6 and 2. I'm feeling overwhelmed, I don't even know where to start. Any suggestions??

    Hi Remely,

I'm SO excited for your family's upcoming vacation, and I'm really glad you reached out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We all have enjoyed many magical vacations with our families and LOVE helping others plan the same kinds of incredible experiences, so you've definitely come to the right place. I'm sending Minnie Mouse hugs to let you know we're all here to help you enjoy the magic, so "Hakuna Matata" - no worries! Since your trip is just a few short weeks away, I'll walk you through some of the different things to think about, but please keep in mind that first and most importantly, I want you to HAVE FUN!

The most important pieces to your Disney vacation are transportation, lodging, and tickets. Have you made those arrangements yet? If not, I'd start there. Disney Resort hotels are AMAZING and you'll find one to fit any budget! With a five-day trip, I'd recommend a four-day, one theme park per day ticket with a day off in the middle to enjoy your Resort hotel and some of the other magical places around the Walt Disney World Resort like Disney Springs and Disney's BoardWalk.

Next, I'd make three FastPass+ selections per day (to let you skip the standby lines!) and schedule dining reservations if you'd like to enjoy some delicious and fun Table-service meals. Be sure to download the free My Disney Experience app to help you manage all of the details of your trip and remember that Cast Members are an incredible resource, so feel free to ask for help along the way!

I know I've just skimmed the surface, so please feel free to write back and ask us any other specific questions you may have, Remely! I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation together!
