Hi! Do I need to reserve a spot for my 1 year old when booking my dining reservations? Will there always be highchairs available when we get to the restaurant or do I have to let them know ahead of time? Will he just share my plate even at buffets? Thanks!

    Dear Jenna,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your terrific question about dining with your little one!

Walt Disney World Resort is extremely accommodating to little ones, and that goes for dining as well. You should definitely let them know that your 1 year-old is included in the reservation so that they can plan for that space and use of highchairs. They will have highchairs available for you, yes, so that your little guy can be safe and close to you!

At this time, children 2 and under do not have to pay for meals (unless of course you want to order something for him separately) at the Walt Disney World Resort, so that would mean that he would share your plate. At buffets of course you could bring him his own items from the buffet to eat.

Moms Panel tip - For the best choice of Advanced Dining Reservations, be sure to start making those reservations up to 180 days in advance of your arrival date!

Hope that helps with your planning!
