Hey! Another question for the experts, any tips or suggestions on how to make the trip magical for a boy while having a little girl on the trip. I don't want the trip to turn into all princesses where he feels left out. Thanks!!

    Hi Robin,

As the mother of both boys and girls, I can understand and sympathize with your dilemma. Here are a few suggestions for things that he can do that are lots of fun without princess stuff!

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is an interactive game through the Magic Kingdom where guests are given trading cards that help unlock certain hidden portals around the park. My then 9 year old son loved doing this in between attractions and then had a bunch of fun trading cards as special souvenir. This game is included in price of park admission. Be sure to head over to the Fire Station on Main Street once you enter the park and the cast members can get him started on the fun! Although my son was 9, this could be done by kids younger or older than this, too! Also, at Magic Kingdom is The Pirates League, a pirate version of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Another park activity is the Wilderness Explorers at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is themed after the club that Russell is in in the movie, "Up". It is kind of like a scavenger hunt around the park where guests earn "badges" (aka stickers) for their booklet. Again, this is a complimentary activity that is included in park admission and a great way to learn about animals and cultures while in between attractions.

Some fun restaurants that aren't themed with princesses or aren't overly "girly" are Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and Pizza Planet at Disney's Hollywood Studios, T-Rex at Downtown Disney, Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Coral Reef at Epcot.

I'm sure he is going to have the time of his life without feeling too bogged down with princess overload!
