Hey Moms! We are planing a trip next spring break and are planning to book a package, my question is which resort should I choose Animal Kingom Lodge or the Contemporary? Pricing was similar I'd just like to know your thoughts!

    Hi Erica,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. You are choosing between two truly amazing resorts. Let me tell you a bit about each of them from my perspective, and hopefully that will help you to make a decision.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is sleek and modern. I love the look of the building, and there are so many recreation options including a great pool and a marina. I think that one of the best things going for Disney's Contemporary Resort is its location. This is the only resort from which you can walk to Magic Kingdom! The walk is only about 10 minutes. The resort is also on the monorail line, which gives you easy access not only to Magic  Kingdom, but also to Epcot and other resorts on the monorail loop, which greatly expands your dining options.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, on the other hand, is secluded and peaceful. The ability to see exotic animals such as giraffes and zebras outside of nearly every window is unique. There are wonderful cultural activities offered, and the decor includes beautiful African art. I also love the dining options here, which feature African fare. The one drawback to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge may be the location. It is set far away from many of the theme parks, so transportation is by bus and the rides can take a little longer.

Honestly, Erica, I have stayed at both of these resorts and loved each for different reasons. Hopefully I have conveyed enough about each to help you make a decision. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
