Hey Mom's Panel! We will be traveling next month with our three year old grandson (Phil's first trip!). It has been a looooong time since we have needed to use the baby swap. Can you explain how it works along side Fastpass plus? Thanks!

    Hi Anne!

How exciting! Phil is in for a most magical trip, and I know you'll never forget seeing his joy and excitement as he experiences Walt Disney World for the first time. I am getting all teary-eyed picturing my children on their first visits. Be sure to pick up a "My First Visit" button for Phil when you check into your resort.

The Rider Switch Service works in the same fashion as it did before the new FastPass+ system was introduced. Simply bring your entire party to the entrance of the attraction and let the Cast Member know you need to use Rider Switch. The first party enters and experiences the attraction while the second party waits and then you'll switch.

Technically, if you are using the FastPass+ queue for the first party, the second party using Rider Switch should have FastPass+ for the attraction as well. I will say, though, based on my personal experience, Cast Members will not always require the second party to have FastPass+. The same thing happened when we used Rider Switch with the legacy FASTPASS service. Again, that's based on personal experience and your mileage may vary.

Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan Phil's magical first visit.
