    Melanie Asked

Hey Mona, I am taking my daughter to Disney world for her 5th Birthday:) What should I plan to do on her actual Birthday? Thanks!

    Hi Melanie,

Taking your daughter to Walt Disney World for her 5th birthday is such a wonderful idea! I am sure that she will enjoy it and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Be sure to pick up a birthday button at Guest Relations at any of the Walt Disney World theme parks. The button is free, and there is a place for you to write her name. It is great to walk through the park all day long, hearing cast members and other guests wishing your little girl a happy birthday. Also, if you are making any dining reservations at Walt Disney World for her birthday, be sure to note on the reservation that you are celebrating this special day. Also let the host or hostess at the restaurant know, as well as your server. By noting the birthday on dining reservations, and wearing a birthday button, you never know what little surprises might come your daughter's way. We celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Walt Disney World, and our server at The Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom brought my daughter an enormous celebratory cupcake at the end of our meal! I will never forget the look of surprise and happiness on her face. These types of experiences are not guaranteed, so do not go in expecting them, and then they are even more magical if they do happen.

If you would like to order a special cake for your daughter at Walt Disney World, you can do so by calling (407) 827-2253. You can also typically get a small cake added to your meal at Walt Disney World for a cost simply by asking at the podium when you check in to a restaurant. If you would like to purchase a gift to be magically delivered to a Walt Disney World resort, contact the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts online or by calling (407) WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438).

Have a wonderful time planning your daughter's birthday celebration, Melanie! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
