Port Orleans Resort French Quarter Pool

Hey Lindsey P, we are planning a WDW vacation soon. With so many great places to stay, what is your favorite moderate resort to stay at on property?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Ari, you’re as welcome as can be! While it’s difficult for me to choose my favorite Deluxe Resort (I waffle between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for it’s festive theming and Disney’s Beach Club Resort for it’s Epcot proximity), I know exactly how to answer your question about Moderate Resort offerings!

Without a doubt, I can’t stay away from Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. Whether it’s the light and fluffy smell of beignets wafting from the lobby, the peaceful cobblestone streets leading to the rooms or the jovial animal First Line at the pool, I always feel like right at home. If you’d like to spend a spell at Port Orleans French Quarter, you must try an evening at the Scat Cat’s Club for live music while sipping on a Hurricane. If you are adventurous, you can try the Sazerac, but it’s too strong for my husband’s tastes! Just like other moderate resorts, you’ll find campfires, starlight movies, a playground and a spacious pool, but there’s also a water taxi to Disney Springs and 2 roomy bus stops for convenience. The rooms boast double beds with a full bathroom, which fit my family of four’s needs very well. My absolute favorite time to stay at this moderately priced Resort with lux theming is during the holidays. The gem colored decorations, wreaths and trees are (in my opinion) some of Disney’s most splendid seasonal swags!

I’ll be hEAR if you need any more planning help or to just want to nerd out on Disney’s upcoming offerings. Just M-I-C-K-E-Y… and me! ~ Lindsey P.
