    Alex from SC Asked

Hey Jodie, can you help me to plan my vacation to Disney park with my 5.5 years son please. I don't set any dates when we can have our trip, we are flexible on dates. Can you advice when is the best time to visit Disney, how many days we need to stay.

    Hi there Alex!

Thanks so much for directing your question to me! I would love to assist you in planning your Walt Disney World vacation. Historically, the crowd levels are lower and special promotions are more available when schools are in session. When my children were in the lower grade levels, we often pulled them out of school for a few days in order to take advantage of hotel discounts and being able to experience the parks with smaller crowds. The lowest crowd levels are traditionally in January and February with the exception of Presidents' Day week, the week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving, and the week following Thanksgiving until the middle of December. I have also visited in early May and found the crowd levels to be minimal at that time.  I have visited during every month and would have to say that my favorite time to vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort is in early December when the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated for the holiday season.

As a mom of four children, I have found that my children need a relaxing day following two consecutive days in the parks. In the middle of our vacation, we usually plan a day to sleep in, visit Disney Springs or enjoy the recreational activities at our Disney Resort hotel.  Our ideal vacation time is five nights; however, we have done as little as three nights when timing or our budget did not allow for a longer trip. There are four main theme parks and two water parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. You may want to consider the parks you are interested in visiting when determining the length of your trip.

I hope this information is helpful in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to visit me again with any additional questions that you may have. I would love to assist you further in the planning of a magical trip!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
