Hey Moms & Dads! Already done autograph books-thinking of getting Tshirts signed this time. Has anyone tried this? Certain kind of shirt? Marker? What would you put inside to avoid ink going through? Thanks and 18 more sleeps to the Poly!

Hi, Erica! Awesome idea to mix things up with the autographs. I've seen marginal success with t-shirts. Michaels and [insert craft store competitor here] have all sorts of fabrics and markers that will do the trick.

One of the coolest incantations I've seen is people bringing pillowcases for the characters to sign. Michaels has several pre-packaged design-your-own pillowcase options. I've even seen pirates and princess versions on the shelf. The benefit of the pillowcase over the t-shirt is the timelessness. You won't outgrow it (or in my case, get ketchup and mayonnaise on it.) It can be fully functional at bedtime, or it can be more decorative (depending how it turns out!)

One more tip: check your local paper on Sunday. Michaels almost always has a 40% off coupon that you can put toward whichever option you choose.
