Hey there! Coming in Nov. have reservations at POR, thinking of changing to POFQ (because of renovations) or POP (to save $). We are driving down so we will transport ourselves much of the time. 3 adults & 2 kids (5 & 2) in room. Any suggestions?

    Hi Angie!

I would absolutely recommend switching to either Port Orleans French Quarter to enjoy the room renovations or Pop Century to save money.

Port Orleans Riverside is a lovely resort but the other two win out (in my opinion) if considering your two criteria of newer accommodations or cost-savings.

I've stayed at all three resorts.

If traveling with small children, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Port Orleans French Quarter. It's a charming resort, easy walking for youngsters, a fun pool slide down a serpent's tongue and more. Plus, you'd have the benefit of being able to go over to Port Orleans Riverside to swim and dine since its a sister resort of POFQ.

Now, if saving money is your top priority, then switch to Pop Century. PC is a fun resort. Yes, the rooms are smaller (a consideration with your crew!). In fact, I just read your question again and realized that you have a party of 5 which includes one child under 3. In that case, I really think I'd opt for the moderate. You'll appreciate the extra space!

Let me know if I can help any further!
