Hey, my boyfriend is taking me Disney this Aug, he's just finishing a tour in afghan (he's in the British army). He turns 25 while we're there, is there anything I can do to make his birthday extra special and show him how much I've missed him? Thanks :D

    Hi Lauren,

Congratulations on your upcoming "Reunion Vacation"!  I bet you are so excited to be with your sweetheart again.  Walt Disney World is the perfect place for a fun and romantic trip, in fact I honeymooned there.

There are so many ways to celebrate special occasions in Walt Disney World.  The first tip is to make sure your celebration is noted on all of your reservations including your Resort Hotel and Advanced Dining Reservations.  By letting as many Cast Members as possible know you are celebrating, you will increase the number of well wishes you will receive and maybe even experience an extra sprinkling of Pixie Dust.

Below I have listed more celebration ideas for a wide range of budgets:

    • Wear "I'm Celebrating___" button obtained from Guest Services in any of the theme parks
    • Purchase him a "Happy Birthday Ear Hat"
    • Make a special birthday t-shirt for him to wear
    • Order a Specialty Cake to be delivered during a table service meal
    • Pack decorations and surprise him with a decorated room on his birthday, or alternatively have Disney Floral and Gifts customize an In Room Celebration
    • Take a backstage tour such as Keys to the Kingdom
    • Book a private Fireworks Cruise
    • Dine in a Signature Restaurant

I hope some of these ideas spark some creativity for your celebration.  For more ideas or to order some of the above listed items, visit this linked page for Disney's Customized Celebrations.

Have fun planning!  If you have any further questions, please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help!

    Blessings,
