Here's another one for you. Aug 16 -20 I will be in DW with DD8 - celebrating her birthday. She is a semi-adventurous eater and gets bored with the counter service - they aren't very exciting and a lot are the same basics for kids. Any suggestions?

Have you ever dined in any of Walt Disney World's sit-down restaurants?  Typically, you will find a bit more variety in the menu offerings there, particularly at the World Showcase restaurants.  While they all do feature a few of the "safer" bets for kids, those restaurants often times feature a pint-sized option of the specialty of the house (steaks at Le Cellier, flautas at San Angel Inn, or couscous at Restaurant Marrakesh).

But if counter service is more your style, you could always split a meal with her off the regular menu.  That would definitely open up more options for you.

Some of the slightly less mundane counter service location kid's menu offerings are:

-spaghetti and meatball at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom
-pork egg roll at Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom
-ham and cheese wrap at ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios
-Beijing BBQ drumstick at Lotus Blossom Cafe in China at Epcot
-turkey pinwheels at the Electric Umbrella at Epcot (Future World)
-mixed greens salad with chicken at Cosmic Ray's in Magic Kingdom

While these suggestions maybe aren't all that adventurous, they are a little different than the chicken nuggets/burgers/and pizzas that are widely available throughout the resort.  Do keep in mind, though, that menus are subject to change and these specific menu items may not be available at the time of your trip.  Hopefully it will give you an idea of where to start though!
