Help! We are traveling for our first time to WDW in Oct. 09. For my son's school I need to provide a list of "intended learning" while away. Anyone, please help me as I have never been before and don't know how to answer this!

Hi Keri!  I am not sure of the terminology they are using but I am assuming they want to have your son vacation with some education in mind.  As a former teacher it was always good to have the students return with some information they could share with the class.

You can break down each park into different learning lessons.  For instance you could talk about the care of animals in the Animal Kingdom park and make sure you take the Safari ride as well as visit Rafikis Planet Watch.  There are many great learning lessons to be learned just in this location.  Other topics for learning in this park include dinosaurs and bird species.

Hollywood Studios is a great park to learn about such things as animation, entertainment, and art.  There is an attraction called The Magic of Disney Animation and although there are no longer animators working out of this park you can see the work that has been done in years past.

EPCOT is where you will find an abundance of learning lessons.  Your son can interview one person in each country of the World Showcase and ask each one the same question to see how their answers relate or differ. There are also some great movies in several of the countries which he could watch and gain some information about the world around us.  Innoventions is a massive area full of learning and fun activities.  You can read a little about some of them by clicking on the name above.

You did not mention your son's age so it is hard to be specific but if you look at the information from each park you can make a list of some wonderful learning areas and tools that he can use during his vacation.  Even having him interview a chef at one of the restaurants or any other cast member can be enlightening.
