Help! Can't decide between WL or AKL in a 2bdrm villa. WL lobby looks amazing, but I like the rooms of the AKL better(at least from photos). Location of WL seems better. Overall, which one would you recommend? We're a fam of 5 w/kids 8,6,2. Thank You!

    Hi Victoria,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Looks like you have done your research, as you have pointed out the exact pros and cons that stick out in my mind for these resorts.

I just recently returned from a stay at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and you are correct the rooms not only "look" better, they were simply stunning!  They are much larger than the 2-BR villas at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and since this resort just recently opened, the condition is top notch!  The other feature of this resort that I love is the pool area, Samawati Springs.  We literally spent hours enjoying this amenity on our last trip.  What I didn't like about this resort was the lack of quick service food (you have to walk to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's a 5-10 minute walk) and the remote location.  It is a bus ride to everything, and is simply "out of the way".

You didn't mention what time of year you are visiting, but I have a trip booked for January so I have reserved the VIllas at Wilderness Lodge.  Since the pool with not be as critical at this time of year, I would rather be in closer proximity to the parks (Magic Kingdom specifically).  It is a boat ride from here, and a child can remain in a stroller for the duration of the trip which is a huge plus when traveling with little ones!

So if the remote location is not an issue, the villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village are by far better.  However if dining and location is more important I would choose the Villas at Wilderness Lodge without hesitation.

    I hope this helps!
