Can you help me with some of the abbreviations you all use here!? DGS? DH? help! thanks for all your help btw :]

It can be a bit confusing with all of these initials floating around!  It's like someone's monogramming machine went berserk and started embroidering monograms all over the place!

For most people "DH" means Dear Husband or Darling Husband - but I will be the first to admit to having used the D to mean something else entirely in referring to my own husband (like Debonair - or something).

The initials DGS are usually used to mean Darling or Dear Grandson or Godson.  I always thought DGD meant Dear or Darling Granddaughter, but imagine my embarrassment one time when I was chatting inline with someone and finally had to be told that in her case, DGD meant Darling Grand DOG!!

I hope that helps you a little with the Alphabet Soup you sometimes find here!
