Hello, Will we be able to use our MagicBands at Disneyland? Thanks

    Hi, Evelyn!

It is amazing how quickly everyone got used to using their MagicBands at Walt Disney World. With a quick "tap" you have your theme park ticket, FastPass+, charge to your room, and even get into your room as your room key! But, this technology is only currently being used at Walt Disney World, so don't worry about packing your MagicBand as you head to the west coast to visit the Disneyland Resort. Well, unless you want to wear it as a Disney fashion statement! (They are quite cute!)

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure park do have FASTPASS but you do not book your selections ahead of time like FastPass+. All selections are made "day-of" based on availability. Now there is something fun the Disneyland Resort uses: Disney MaxPass. By adding on this feature to your theme park ticket, you can book your FASTPASS selections on your smartphone Disneyland app without having to go to the FASTPASS kiosk. This is big time saver, but selections are still made day-of, based on availability. Read and watch a fun video about MaxPass details. A per guest/per day fee applies to use Disney MaxPass.

You are going to have fun comparing Disneyland and Disney World. They are the same but different - which you will see! The biggest difference is in California, you can WALK between the 2 theme parks, and the 3 beautiful resort hotels are all within walking distance. Super convenient!

Although you cannot use your MagicBand at the Disneyland Resort, hold onto it! Hopefully you will back to the House of Mouse in Florida real soon where you can use that MagicBand again!
