Hello..We are traveling back to Disney the week of Thanksgiving. What resort would you recommend for 2 teenagers (girl 13, boy 16) would prefer a resort where they will have their own bed. There will be a total of 4 of us.

    Hi Paula,

I have two teenagers (girl 13, boy 17) almost the same ages as yours! When we visited Walt Disney World this summer we stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in a room with one queen-sized bed and a set of bunk beds. My son is fairly tall so I worried the bunks would be too short but he had no complaints. Disney's Wilderness Lodge also has rooms with bunk beds.

Disney's All Star Music Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort have family suites. The family suites have a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed and pull-out beds in the living area. Pull-out beds might not sound comfortable, but I've slept on them myself and they are surprisingly comfortable. The family suites have the added benefit of two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

Several of Disney's Deluxe Resorts have rooms with two queen-sized beds and a day bed. We have also chosen to stay at one of Disney's Deluxe Villa Resorts. A two-bedroom villa would guarantee separate beds for your teenagers. Some of the one-bedroom villas have a pull out couch and a pull out chair in the living area. We enjoyed the extra room to spread out and the convenience of a full kitchen.

I hope I've given you some ideas to get you started! Please let me know if I can help you further!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
