Hello, We are coming to Disney at the end of January. Could you tell me some information about the fast passes for the illumination show at Epcot? Is it worth using one of your fast passes? Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi Jodi!

Wow, it is so exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so soon!  I have tried out the new FastPass + system and I really like it. The FastPass + for Illuminations:Reflections of Earth will let you in to a special viewing area which normally is located between the two stores at the entrance to World Showcase. I have watched Illuminations: Reflections of Earth in this location many times and it really provides a great view. The main benefit is that you will not have to wait for a good viewing spot around the World Showcase Lagoon (typically you would have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to secure a prime view spot for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth). All that being said, I would recommend using your FastPass + for Soarin' or Test Track because the wait times for these attractions can typically range from 90 to 120 minutes or more. You could find a prime spot for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth only 30 minutes ahead of time with using one of your FastPass + options.

I hope that your January 2014 Walt Disney World trip is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
