Hello! We just booked a 6 night stay at the Polynesian. We did not book our vacation through WDW Travel, how can we customize our magic bands and enjoy the benefits? Thanks!

    Hi Amy,

No worries, it's easy to make this happen. Your first step is to create an account at DisneyWorld.com, or log into your account if you already have one. There is a tab at the top right called "My Disney Experience." This is the control center for all things MagicBand and FastPass+.

From My Disney Experience, click on the My Reservations link. You'll see here an option called Link Resort Reservation. Input your resort confirmation number and you'll be all set. Be sure that you're linking the Disney resort confirmation number rather than a travel agent or travel aggregator number. If you have problems making this happen, I've found the agents at 407-W-DISNEY to be quite helpful. (Just keep saying Website Help and MagicBands and you'll eventually get to the right operator.)

When you have your resort reservation linked to your account, you can then customize your MagicBands in My Disney Experience under My Account - MagicBands and cards.

Your window to make FastPass+ reservations begins 60 days before your trip. You will be able to make FP+ reservations in advance if you have park tickets linked to you account in addition to the resort reservation. Link tickets in the My Reservations tab by clicking Link Tickets.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
