Hello, We are booked on our first Disney cruise on the Fantasy in late September. We are flying on Southwest airlines and wanted to take advantage of the onboard airline check-in. Does Southwest airlines participate in this service? Thank you

Welcome aboard, Monica! Congratulations on booking your very first cruise with Disney! Your family is in for a wonderful treat this fall as you cruise on the Fantasy!

Disney Cruise Line lists the airlines on their Air and Ground Transportation page on the website. As you'll see, right now Southwest is not one of the airlines that is participating in this service. But, don't worry. You can still book Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation service. This carries an extra fee of about $35 per person each way, but it is very much worth every penny as Disney takes care of all of the details!

By utilizing this motorcoach, you simply arrive, hand over your bags and meet them again when they arrive in your stateroom later on in the day. As you depart the ship, there will be motorcoaches waiting to take you to the airport too. Give Disney Cruise Line a call at 1-800-951-3532 to add this to your reservation. They can go over more details with you then as well, but it is well worth it to let Disney handle your transportation. This can make your transition from land to sea and back again very seamless.

Have fun as you continue to plan, Monica!
