Hello, So my daughter's high school band is going to Disneyworld park this summer, and I wanted to have a T-shirt made with Mickey head and Indian head dress on it. Would this be a problem for the kids to wear at the park??

    Hi Melanie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I admire your courage - taking a high school group to the Walt Disney World Resort takes fortitude. Having done it, I can say that it is a blast!

T-shirts for the group are a definite must-do. Our friend Mickey Mouse prefers his look just the way it is, however, so I would suggest that you skip the headdress (or anything similar). Instead, put the school name on the back of the shirt - Mickey Mouse on the front and school pride on the back.

Since you will have a group, be sure to make Fast Pass+ selections for rides and attractions. When I have traveled with high school groups, we divide into smaller groups and assign a chaperone to each group. Depending on how large your party is, you may need a few people (the chaperones, for example) to create My Disney Experience Accounts. Once those accounts are created, make sure all of the students are listed in the chaperones' My Family & Friends Lists. Each chaperone (or small group leader) should then link theme park tickets in My Disney Experience. Once those theme park tickets are linked, the small group leaders can make Fast Pass+ selections for everyone.

When traveling with groups, I also make advanced dining reservations. If you plan to eat together as a group, definitely make a reservation. If not, there are certainly lots of great quick-service options throughout the parks. Finally, I would suggest that all students and chaperones download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. They can use the app to check ride wait times. Also consider Memory Maker - you definitely want to save the photos - this trip will be priceless.

Melanie, I am sending you patience as you plan!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
