Hello, Ok so we are going to Disney but not until May 2011. Am i way too early to start planning? My daughters will be 11 and 8 at time of travel. Thanks I am way too excited!

Hi, Christin! It's never too early to start planning a Disney vacation!  A year in advance is actually a great time to start assembling all your research and planning tools.  If you haven't already, get very familiar with the Vacation Booking Guide to find out all the options and opportunities available to you as you book your family's WDW vacation. You'll want to order the free planning DVD and customized maps to help you plan as well as to get your kids more a part of the planning process, too.

My advice to obtain a three-ring notebook with plastic sleeves or pockets inside. Keep details and documents of your trip all in one place including the items I mentioned above and any Advanced Dining Reservations you'll make in a few months. Then, start looking online at all the various helpful Disney planning websites that give you great tips and information about touring the parks. Some of my favorites are: allears.net, touringplans.com, mousesavers.com and wdwradio.com.

Have fun planning, and come back and visit me to get more specific information as you get closer to your trip. The next best thing to experiencing a Disney trip is planning one. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
