Hello, My husband and I are planning a trip for our son's 3rd birthday and we'd like to reserve a king room at the wilderness lodge. There are no day beds in those rooms though and I need to know if a cot is available for our son to sleep on.

    Hi Deborah,

The Wilderness Lodge is my husband's favorite resort! He loves it because he feels like he is in the Pacific Northwest and away from the Walt Disney World Parks.

In the king size rooms, the maximum capacity is two people. Because of this capacity, you can not have a roll-away bed added to the room for your son. You also would not be able to book this room because you are over capacity. You would need to book a room with two queen size beds. Here you could add a roll-away bed because you would be below the room capacity.

Finally, make sure to let the cast members know it is your son's birthday at check-in and on your Advance Dining Reservations. Sometimes extra pixie dust might find its way into your vacation if you do.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
