Hello Is It too cold for water parks in December? I don't want my girls to feel cold with their wet hair after we leave the park. I'm afraid that if I cut the water parks and fun tickets I will end up paying the same amount when we go to Disney Quest

Welcome to the Moms Panel Claudia!  We're glad you're hEAR!

Love to see that you are planning ahead because your vacation will be here before you know it!  Planning for the weather is always super important for me.

The averages for the month of December are:
    • Average high temperature: 72.9
    • Average low temperature: 51.3
    • Average precipitation: 2.15

Keep in mind that these are averages so it can vary. I was there at the beginning of December last year and it was 25 one morning.  That was unusual but it can happen.

They typically heat the water at the water parks but depending on the outside temperature, it could be a little chilly, especially for guests used to warmer climates. Beginning December 4th, Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for refurbishment so if your travel dates are any time after that date in December, Blizzard Beach will be your only water park option.  The crowds are typically low in December at the water parks so if its a nice day, you'll be able to take advantage of lower wait times.

The current price to add the Water Park Fun & More is $55.00.  The admission fee to DisneyQuest is $43.00 ages 10 & up and $37.00 for ages 3 - 9.  If you think you will try a water park in addition to going to DisneyQuest, the Water Park Fun & More option is worth it.

Right before your trip, check out the 10-day forecast at .  You can search the forecast for Disney World to see if there are any crazy weather patterns predicted during your visit.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
