Hello! I'm currenlty planning a WDW trip for 14 family members! We're shooting for Oct. 4-11 or 11- 18. I'm a little concerned about crowd levels. Oct 4 & 5 (I believe) is the Tower of Terror Run & Oct.13 is Columbus Day. What week would have less

    Hi Kristen,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! If these were my travel plan choices, I'd probably attend the first choice, October 4-11th. Yes, the Tower of Terror 10-miler weekend will be taking place, but typically a holiday weekend like Columbus Day will see very heavy crowds. Because you're traveling over a week's time, you can simply avoid Disney's Hollywood Studios during the events of the weekend. I do recall reading somewhere, however, that the actual day of the race DHS is anticipated to experience lower crowds because the Park closes early ... might be a great way to tackle Toy Story Mania! and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster for your party of 14.

Another great resource in determining best weeks to travel is the independent site touringplans.com. For a nominal fee, the site provides crowd predictions based on historical data. In my experience, the site has helped our family build itineraries that ultimately create more DisneyTime for us all!

I hope my answer was helpful, Kristen, and we're happy to assist you with any other questions coming to mind.

    Have a magical vacation!
